- : pop up menus really do come in handy. But having to go through *two*

- : type specs box to change things like font width (and always having to
- : tick those little boxes for width, style, etc. even if the current text
- : is _already_ using that variation) balances out the speed improvements
- : from the font bar. IMHO it's one big step forward and one big step back.
- : I would much prefer Final Copy's pull-down menu for loading new fonts and
- : changing settings that won't fit on the font bar. Seems it would be a lot
- : faster. I also wish there would be a way to filter off the _Bold, _Italic,
- : and _BoldItalic extensions in the load requester and in the popup font menu,
- : like the way some requesters will exclude .info files. After all, isn't
- : the purpose of the font bar to isolate the user from all the physical font
- : files?

- Just try writing a paper using a lot of superscripts, for a
- biblio. page at the end! I don't know about anyone else, but I cite lots
- of people in papers for my science classes, and the 4.* method of
- selecting super/normal script mode it frankly unusable. Type a couple
- sentences, open a big window, click on "position, drag down superscript,
- close everything, type one char, open a window, click on position, pull
- down normal, close everything, type two sentences, repeat. It's not
- worth it. I went back to the old version.
-
- After that paper, I built a whole bunch of custom AREXX macros to do what
- I feel should have been part ofthe program (ease of use!) but haven't
- used them yet. ( I don't know HOW people could find FWLite workable,
- without AREXX!) I liked a lot of the other things in the 4.* version, but
- when the program makes it next to impossible for me to write smoothly,
- it's not going to get a lot of use ( or maybe upgrades), without some
- changes in the next release.
